Capture the useful facts
A handover should explain the customer’s stated need, the information already confirmed, and the next step they expect. Avoid adding assumptions that were not discussed.
Separate facts from open questions
Record what has been verified and what still needs attention. The next person can then focus on resolving the open questions instead of repeating the entire conversation.
Make ownership visible
A clear owner and an agreed follow-up route reduce uncertainty. Define where an exception goes and how a campaign coordinator can track it.
Use review as coaching
When a record is incomplete, give feedback that identifies the missing detail and explains why it matters. A useful review improves the next handover.
Keep the process proportionate
Collect only information that is needed for the agreed task. Follow the client’s approved handling, access, and retention instructions for campaign data.
